We drove nearly an hour to check this place out and it was well worth the drive! It's much larger than I imagined with lots to see and do. We had it completely to ourselves from 8-9am on a weekend morning. Then at 9am lots of families started to show up.
Our grandkids absolutely love this park. It's so big with lots of fun things to do. It has a nice picnic area too.
Great place to take small children! Be ready to chase them all over too! You will love this place!
There aren’t many “kid friendly” options in this area so when I found this park I was so excited for my toddler. It’s wonderful. It’s HUGE. And well taken care of. I love the wooden playgrounds from my childhood. My kiddo is 21 months and he explores the whole thing! There’s a bunch of different slides, swings, and musical things for kids to do. Love it!!
There is a reason why this park was voted the best in the county. Kids love it here - it truly seems magical, like Camelot! However, there is an error in the description - pets are NOT allowed in the playground area. They are allowed in other areas of the larger Cannon Park.
This is such a wonderful, unique little park. It's part of a larger recreation complex and has ready access to multipurpose fields and a bathroom. The location was tucked away in a very nice, safe neighborhood.
As for the playground itself: There were so many great activities for children -- places to climb, bridges to cross, secret passageways. Their imaginations can just run wild! And the quality of the musical instruments was above par.
While I don't mind the brightly colored plastic material at most of the playgrounds we visit, I REALLY appreciated that the vast majority of the play equipment was good ol' wood.
Also, looking around, it was clear that there was a lot of community support for this playground, which is always encouraging.
In my son's words: "This is the bestest park in the whole wide world!"
Our favorite playground! Lots of space and fun things for your little(s) to do. Especially great on a sunny and/or hot day, as there is plenty of shade.
This playground is a lot to offer for small and big kiddos. It is shaded and great escape to play even in the sun. Playground is great for play hide and seek, includes swings for infants and bigger kids. There is a lending library towards the entrance of the playground. This is perfect for kids to entertain their imagination!
